What a funny world…

A few months ago, I was convinced we had drifted too far apart.
That our story had quietly reached its ending.

I told my friend once that I’d lost you... in everywhere.
No chats, no groups, no replies, nothing.
Even work couldn’t bridge the gap.
It felt like you disappeared from every corner of my life.

I lost you, too… in every possible way.
I couldn’t find you, even when you were standing right in front of me.

And yet, here we are now.
Somehow trying to reconnect,
rebuilding the boundaries we almost let slip away.

I’m not placing any hope on this.
If it doesn’t fall into place like it used to,
at least we won’t hurt each other again.

I adored you long before I realized it.
